1515 S Van Ness

Streamline Drywall is proud to be a part of 1515 S Van Ness, a 100% affordable housing development rising in San Francisco's Mission District. Partnered with Guzman Construction Group (GC) and Marinship Development Interest LLC JV as a certified local business enterprise, Streamline is delivering precision interior building systems on a project that will shape this neighborhood for generations.

Developed in collaboration with Chinatown Community Development Center, designed by David Baker Architects and Y.A. Studio, and supported by Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA), this 9-story development reflects a rare alignment of civic vision, design excellence, and community advocacy. Every partner at the table brings leadership and a standard of care that makes this build exceptional.

Operating within a densely populated urban environment, Streamline's skilled union crew is delivering interior metal stud framing and gypsum board assemblies with the precision, coordination, and craftsmanship this community-defining build demands. Schedule adherence, quality control, and safety are non-negotiable on a project of this civic significance.

Scope of Work

  • Interior Metal Stud Framing: Streamline’s union crew is installing precision interior light gauge metal stud framing systems that form the structural backbone of 168 residential units, an early learning center, and nonprofit community spaces — engineered to meet the life-safety, code compliance, and long-term durability standards required for affordable housing in a seismic zone.
  • Gypsum Board Assemblies: Delivering high-quality gypsum board assemblies throughout all nine floors, creating smooth, fire-rated interior wall systems that meet strict life-safety requirements while supporting the architectural finish standards expected of a landmark affordable housing development designed by David Baker Architects and Y.A. Studio.

Project Impact

1515 S Van Ness will deliver 168 residential units of 100% affordable housing, an early learning center, nonprofit community space, and shared amenities to one of San Francisco's most vital and culturally significant neighborhoods — the Mission District. This project directly advances the City's affordability goals while strengthening local workforce participation through certified LBE and union labor. Streamline is honored to contribute craftsmanship to a development that will serve families, children, and the broader Mission community for decades to come.
