SFO Courtyard 3 Connector Terminal

San Francisco International Airport Streamline Drywall partnered with Nevell Group Inc. and Hensel Phelps as a Micro Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontractor on the SFO Courtyard 3 Connector Terminal, a transformational project supporting San Francisco International Airport’s long-term vision for connectivity, efficiency, and world-class passenger experience. The Courtyard 3 Connector is a critical component of SFO’s broader modernization program, designed to seamlessly link Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 while preserving uninterrupted airport operations. The project strengthens the airport’s role as a global gateway while reinforcing San Francisco’s commitment to resilient infrastructure, sustainability, and thoughtful urban design. Operating within one of the busiest airports in the world, Streamline delivered key interior and exterior building systems under a Labor Service Agreement, supporting construction in a highly coordinated, schedule-driven environment where safety, precision, and reliability are paramount. All work was executed while maintaining full terminal operations and minimizing disruption to travelers and airport personnel.

Scope of Work

  • Interior Light Gauge Metal Stud Framing:  Installed structural interior framing systems that form the backbone of durable, code-compliant spaces, supporting the long-term performance and safety standards required in active aviation facilities.
  • Exterior Sheathing Systems:  Delivered exterior sheathing assemblies engineered to enhance thermal performance and weather resistance, contributing to the terminal’s energy efficiency and resilience in a coastal environment.
  • Interior Gypsum Board Systems: Installed high-quality gypsum board assemblies to create smooth, fire-rated interior surfaces that meet strict life-safety requirements while supporting a clean, modern passenger environment.

Project Impact

The SFO Courtyard 3 Connector Terminal strengthens passenger flow between terminals, improves operational efficiency, and enhances the overall airport experience for millions of travelers each year. Streamline’s contributions supported the project’s demanding quality standards while reinforcing SFO’s ongoing investment in infrastructure that balances performance, safety, and design excellence. As a certified local business enterprise, Streamline is proud to have participated in a project that reflects San Francisco’s values of inclusive economic participation, long-term planning, and civic investment.
